How to capture streaming video

By Grant | October 24, 2008

I recently had occasion to want to snag a video off of YouTube because, for some reason, I didn’t think it would stay up there for very long.

At any rate, I had played around with a bunch of different browser plug-ins and such, but then was referred to this fabulous service called Keep Vid by Judd. Thanks!

All you do is enter the URL of the video into their bar and they automatically download it and ask you what video file format you want to save it as. Voila! instant video files from any streaming source.

I’ve added the app (service) to my Cool Web Apps page.

weird. A teacher just asked how to do the same thing and keep vid was mentioned. Heard about it twice in one day now. Must be good
